In The Meanwhile

Make sure you visit Little Lost Robot‘s art installation, featuring giant robotic flowers, at 17-18 Milsom Street in Bath (the old Gap Kids store for those who are familiar with this street). The petals of each flower are activated by movement outside the window and they have been captivating unsuspecting passers by.

The display is part of the In The Meanwhile project organised by Bath Spa University, working with B&NES Council, to bring temporarily redundant shop spaces into productive use. The Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent economic crisis has seen a large number of shops in the city centre become empty and, In The Meanwhile, seeks to support the council to reinvigorate these spaces during this interim period. Alumni and students from the Schools of Art and Design, residents at The Studio and Emerge will be showcasing work in the building from Monday 17 May until Wednesday 30 June.
