Alicja is an architect and co-founder at YOU&ME Architecture, a multi-disciplinary art and architecture practice. We specialise in high street regeneration, place-making, public art, and community engagement projects. We are currently delivering two local projects: shopfront co- design and vacant unit activation in Keynsham; and a public art project in Yeovil delivered in collaboration with local community groups.
For us it is about the interface between architecture, art, technology and public space, and how these can be stitched together to create animated and loved spaces. We believe even the smallest interventions can have a big impact and community participation throughout the process is key to our approach.
Alicja has taught on the architecture degree course at Brighton University and Central St.Martins and in the past has run school engagement workshops at the V& A Museum, RIBA and Royal Academy. She is a member of the Women in Architecture initiative and is currently the external examiner at Brighton University.
