Brian Gibson is an artist, workshop leader and ambassador for the arts charity, Outside In. He is also the founder of the digital online zine, Deviation Street. Its legacy has evolved from the DIY (Do It Yourself) and DIT (Do It Together) ethos of subcultures and 1970s fanzines. Prior to the recent pandemic, Deviation Street was a contributor based biannual Art, Music and Word print publication which spanned the creative spectrum and showcased the work of artists whose work might be considered as having emerged from or residing in the margins of creativity. The current digital zine was launched in October 2020.

Brian’s research project aims to explore the relationship between creativity and technology in regards to artists and musicians who choose to define themselves as either Disabled (visible or hidden), Marginalised or as Outsiders.
