C.C. creates work at the intersection of theater, emerging media, and film. She is the facilitating director of Invulnerable Nothings, an award winning US/ UK theater collective founded in 2016 and committed to intermedial stagings of poetic language as well as the theatrical activation of research libraries and archives. InvulNos’ style is typified by a rigorous research and installation-based practice, most often staged environmentally or site responsively, as well as the multiyear development of touring work. C.C.’s live practice has been featured in performances and residencies at The McKittrick Hotel, The Brooklyn Art Library, The Brick, The New York Public Library, Theater Mitu, The Sekrit Theater, and The Coronet Theater, among others, and at festivals including AvignonLeOff, Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Volcano Theater Wales, NY Fringe, PRELUDE at The Martin E. Segal Theatre Center, and The Exponential Festival.
As a filmmaker, C.C. is the lead producer for Valmora Productions, which focuses on emerging female talent for film and digital media. Recent works have included award-winning short films like After Anyuta (HollyShorts, NoBudge), educational virtual reality resources such as Lear4.4, and hybrid live performance/ film works including Sanaz Ghajar’s Talk Back. The company has two feature films slated for late 2022 release, Jaclyn Bethany’s The Falling World (Cinequest world premier, distributed by Gravitas Ventures) and Clemy Clarke’s debut feature Hi How Are You?. Films in development include Greta Bellamacina and Jaclyn Bethany’s Tell That To The Winter Sea (shooting Sept./ Oct 2022, to be distibured by Kaleidoscope), Alex Sarrigeorgiou’s In Transit, and Paola Calliari’s The Long Step.
