Nigel Fryatt is a creative technologist and founder whose work, through two companies, explores how technology can deepen collective experience and improve human decision-making. His practice bridges immersive experiences, digital infrastructure for social good, and intelligent systems for executive decision making.
As Founder of POLYMATHIC, Nigel collaborates with cultural institutions to produce interactive installations, immersive brand activations and innovative event formats, all powered by creative technology that engage new audiences and re-engage existing ones. Most recently, the company partnered with Bath Carnival to co-produce six weekends of Vinyl Sessions at The Roman Baths as part of their Summer Lates programme, presenting renowned local vinyl selectors through a 15-speaker surround rig. He is also the Founder & CTO of illuminatAI, a US-based startup that simulates boardroom personas to help founders and executives rehearse and hone strategic decisions. The platform creates private, adversarial AI environments that challenge assumptions, surface blind spots, and strengthen judgement.
In 2025, Nigel won the Digital Technology award at the Creative Bath Awards and was shortlisted in the Technology category at the EntreConf Awards. He also won the Creative Mentor of The Year Award at the EMERGE 2025 Showcase. His work has been featured in The Guardian, BBC, and the local press.
In his spare time, Nigel uses computer programming and visual programming environments to create generative artworks released under the moniker datarav3, often ‘exhibited’ live behind DJs at local music events.
