Rebecca is currently completing her MA in Virtual and Extended Realities from UWE Bristol. This is providing Rebecca with a chance to deeply dive into her practice as a dance artist working with digital and explore these future spaces as an embodied practitioner. This interest comes from her 30 years as a mover and the last ten years creating work with her company Pell Ensemble, developing and delivering digital dance performances, installations and engagement work in the UK & abroad.
Rebecca uses interactive and immersive technologies combined with dance to engage audiences and communities in both the making and performance process. Leading to experiences that centre the body and use digital interactions to create deeper connection, engagement and intimacy. Some of Rebecca’s commissions have been by 2Faced Dance, Wilton’s Strike, Spontaneous Combustion Festival, The Vaults, Athens Digital Arts Festival, Waltham Forest Council, Dance Beds (University of Bedfordshire, Bedford Creative Arts and DanceEast), London Borough of Culture, Foundation for Future London and is regularly supported by Arts Council England.
