“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished” – Lao Tzu

Simon Taylor is a visual artist exploring themes of nature, place, and environment through documenting sounds and capturing still and moving imagery. A central part of Simon’s practice involves actively collaborating with environmental and wellbeing community organisations. At present, Simon is examining the transient and complex relationships we have with different environments.

Simon has a portfolio career that currently includes working as a freelance photographer and as the development officer at Bath Artist Studios. He is a resident artist at EMERGE and a member of 44AD ArtSpace, LIP (London Independent Photography), and the research collective space, Place, Practice. In 2018, Simon founded the Bath Photography Festival, a non-profit, volunteer-based arts projects that promotes creative thinking and questioning through visual language.
