As an LGBTQIA+ artist and producer, I have spent the past six years working within the creative and cultural sectors in the South West. My experiences as part of the LGBTQIA+ community have given me a unique understanding of the societal barriers we face.
With over 1.5 million people identifying as LGBTQIA+ in England and Wales, contributing £6 billion to the UK economy each year, our community is vital to both culture and economy. Yet, homophobia and transphobia are on the rise, emphasising the urgent need for safe, inclusive spaces.
To address this, I am developing a platform that showcases LGBTQIA+ events, offering a space for the community to connect, network, and discover safe, welcoming spaces. The platform will highlight a variety of events designed specifically for the LGBTQIA+ community, from fun social gatherings to meaningful cultural experiences.
