Queering Tech Creative Workshops

Tuesday 11th March 2 – 5pm
&
Tuesday 8th April 2 – 5pm

These 2 x 3 hour in-person workshops are being run by Chloe Meineck, MyWorld fellow on LGBTQIA+ engagement with The Studio (Bath Spa University) in Bath. The workshops will be for anyone that identifies as LGBTQIA+ and is interested in exploring what ‘queering’ might mean and how we can apply queer strategies to our creativity and use creative tech.

The workshops are paid at £75 per person per workshop. So to attend both workshops you will be paid £150. This is to cover your time and travel to get to the workshops. Priority will be given to people that can attend both workshops.

Tuesday 11th March 2 – 5pm
The first workshop will be hands on, creative and craft based workshop exploring what ‘queering’ means to us, and what strategies we use in every day life that we can apply to creative projects and tech.

Tuesday 8th April 2 – 5pm
The second workshop will be about exploring queer futures and you will have the option of using Multi-brush in VR to create immersive queer futures together! You do not need to have an artistic practice with Tech to come along, a creative practice would be great in any medium.

Access to the Studio space:
The space is wheelchair accessible. It has an accessible ground floor toilet. There is step free access to the venue and toilet. Tea and coffee will be provided.

To be a participant in these workshops please complete this Expression of Interest Form and return it by midnight Sunday 23rd February 2025:
