Amplified Publishing Showcase

The Amplified Publishing Showcase brings together publishers and creators across multiple sectors from games, music, books, magazines, video, and audio. The showcase is the culmination of a year of research and prototyping by the research fellows and prototyping teams selected and funded by the Amplified Publishing Pathfinder from Bristol+Bath Creative R+D

This one-day hybrid event offers an opportunity to come in person to The Studio to explore the ‘experience room’, meet the prototype teams, and interact with their projects or watch the panel discussions online. The prototypes include a digital twin of a music venue, a new way of aggregating social media content, and immersive digital experiences.

In addition, there will be live discussions with the research fellows and industry partners. The discussions explore themes ranging from new ways to generate income and value, ethical and inclusive practices, as well as the creative challenges of building communities.

The day’s discussions in Bath will be followed by an evening event at Bristol arts + live music venue Lost Horizon. Their prototype technology will capture the physical performance and the digital twin experience will be streamed live for the first time. The virtual audience will be able to interact with one another within the digital twin.
