Film Screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing
Studio Residents, Amy Jones and Annie Lywood, are hosting a lunchtime screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing.
The film brings together leading evidence on the climate and nature crisis and what it means for the UK. It is designed to be watched together in communities, creating space for honest conversation and constructive civic engagement. The screening will be followed by a brief group discussion using guidance produced by the Climate Psychology Alliance.
The film features Chris Packham along with leading climate and nature scientists – all being pretty frank about where things are heading and what can be done about it.
Trigger warning: The film is hard hitting and you may wish to keep your diary clear in the afternoon.

About Amy & Annie:
Amy Jones runs an architectural practice: Amy Jones Architects. Her practice specialises in sustainable building refurbishment using materials that are kind to our natural environment.
Annie Lywood is a designer specialising in sensory and therapeutic textiles for wellbeing. She founded Sooothe to create beautifully crafted products to nurture people – made to last, be loved, recycled and mended. Navigating the journey of bringing products based on sustainable principles to market has been interesting and complex.
Studio Accessibility Statement:
We seek to make all our events accessible.
– All areas of the event are wheelchair accessible. The event space is through 2 doors from the street, with no steps.
– There are accessible toilet facilities available on the same floor as the main event, through one door.
– We provide a separate quiet room for delegates to use throughout the event.
– Parking is available in a car park near to the venue. Charlotte Street Car Park is the closest.
– You are welcome to bring a personal assistant or service animal.
– There is currently no hearing loop at The Studio. All presentations will be delivered without PA. Please reach out to us if you have hearing or audio requirements.
– You will be able to inform us of any specific access needs in the booking form for the event.
