In the Meanwhile: Upcoming Events and Meet the Artists in Residence

In the Meanwhile is a project organised by Bath Spa University and Little Lost Robot working with B&NES Council, to reinvigorate temporarily vacant spaces with the talent and imagination of the local creative community. Read on to hear about their upcoming events and the new Artists in Residence.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Illuminated Headpiece Workshop – 11th and 18th December 2021
Make a wearable light-up fascinator headpiece. Makers can take their work home and be invited to take part in ‘brighten up blue Monday’ parade in January. This is for people over the age of 8.

Bath Makers Market – 10th-12th December/17th-19th December 2021
A market hosted by makers and and featuring a range of work to buy.

Light Trail Display – 7th-31st January 2022
Artwork created by artists taking part at the In the Meanwhile events will populate empty shop windows, creating a light trail around Bath. These imaginative artworks will bring light to our empty shop spaces throughout the darkest nights of the year, keeping the beauty of Bath alive with the skills and talent of local artists.

All events will be taking place at Milsom Place, Bath. Bus fare subsidies are available for people coming in from Bath’s outlying towns (Keynsham, Midsommer, Radstock, Peasedown). To book a place on any of these events just email juliet@littlelostrobot.org – they will also accept drop-ins on the day if there is space.

Meet The Artists in Residence

In the Meanwhile recently commissioned artists that will be working in residence at Milsom Place in Bath in November and December. Their Residency will help support them to test new ideas and create prototypes for light-based digital or sculptural work that will become part of the Light Trail around Bath in early 2022.
