Alison Powell is a writer, mentor and workshop facilitator. Her fiction has been published in various anthologies and magazines including Project Calm, To Carry Her Home and Mslexia, and has been listed in various competitions, including runner-up place in the prestigious Bridport Prize for First Novels. She is a producer for Paper Nations and a writer on the Hay Literature Festival Writers at Work programme. She also writes educational resources for BBC Bitesize and York Notes.

She is passionate about supporting new writing and founded WriteClub in 2016. She runs a range of expressive writing workshops, novel writing courses and writer’s craft masterclasses, as well as popular open mic nights that build, connect and celebrate a global community of writers.
