Benjamin Winstone is a creative technologist and founder of Octopus Immersive. Coming from a background in robotics research, his practice explores how technology can be used for play and shared experience. Ben values the importance of physical interaction, and fabrication of interactive installations. His work began with building installations for festivals and has led to contribution to mixed reality live concerts and building graffiti writing robots with AI.
Working through Octopus Immersive, Ben is a creative systems integrator looking to build interconnected experiences for festivals, heritage systems, attractions and music. Recently, Octopus Immersive have developed a mixed reality music experience with live performer and technology which synchronises interactions between physical and XR worlds.
