Gareth Campbell (aka Gaz Lawrence) is a science educator and interdisciplinary artist. Since studying Biochemistry with a module in Music Technology, Gareth has been passionate about finding the links between disciplines. He has 8 years’ experience of being a science teacher (chemistry specialist) in state secondary schools whilst also working part-time as an artist, using visual art as a science communication tool.

Since leaving teaching in July 2023, he has founded The MoSAIC (The Museum of Science, the Arts & Interdisciplinary Collaboration) an online learning business aimed at providing learners of all ages and educators with tools to explore how the arts can help communicate science and to demonstrate the power of cross-curricular learning and technology in education. Gareth’s main goal is to work with universities and industries to show young people, particularly those who have experienced disadvantage, how creativity is a necessary skill for the STEM fields by integrating the arts into STEAM learning.
