Tom Kimber is the founder of eJourno, a web platform that is fighting fake news.
News as we know it is changing. Most news is now not consumed through the TV or newspapers but online, and for young people that’s mostly through social media. And, right now, there is more fake news and misinformation content being created and shared than ever before, and it’s causing real damage to our society. We need to be protected from this.
eJourno, its users, academics and our AI models, will collaboratively rate the news and content creators of the entire internet. A big challenge that once underway allows us to easily differentiate between, fact-based journalism, analysis, opinion, and misinformation. And importantly, gives social media platforms a path to protecting its users.
At the studio, Tom is developing the platform and his team, ready for launch at the end of 2024. Outside of The Studio, you will find Tom on his bike, up a mountain, or cooking amazing food with his wife.
